Eric was supposed to work on Easter, but since one of his coworkers wanted to switch shifts with him, he was actually home with us! So that was nice, especially since Natalie’s been feeling yucky. It was much easier to prepare dinner when Eric was home to occupy and hold her.
When we stopped by Elaine’s house to deliver the food, she presented us with a cute little tin, wrapped and filled with Easter goodies for Natalie- some solid food spoons, a bottle of baby sunscreen, and a little grow-your-own flower kit (plus some candy for Mommy and Daddy)! How thoughtful of Auntie! We gave it to Natalie after we ate dinner and she had fun examining it and pulling on the ribbons before I helped her open it.
I felt bad that we didn’t really buy anything for Natalie this year for Easter. The fluffy bunnies, brightly colored eggs, and candy galore that come along with the holiday are definitely fun for kids, but we didn’t fully embrace them this year since she’s so young and since it doesn’t really have much to do with the real reason we celebrate. But, we did make a trip to Gymboree on Friday and loaded up on all the loot pictured below for just $25 (Spring clearance plus my 30% off coupon)!! We’ll call this her Easter present- her new mound of cute clothes!
